Alums Online designs state-of-the-art web sites for alumni classes and affinity groups, with an easy-to-use admin interface. Increase institutional loyalty, facilitate contact among classmates, and increase attendance at university-sponsored events!
These are some of the sections that you may choose to include for your alumni class web site. We can also develop other sections that are tailored to your specific needs. The class web master and class officers can change the content of each section through a user-friendly Class Admin interface.
Home page: Alums Online designs the home page for each class’ specific needs, with a menu that has links to each section of the site. The body of the home page contains several blocks linked to sections of the site that the class webmaster may choose, highlighting special features or events.
Address book and locator: Alumni can access contact details for their classmates through a secure, online address book. They can also locate which classmates live in specific cities, states or countries. There is also a link for classmates to update contact details with your university. Select class officers have access to an email broadcast function to send emails to groups of classmates or the entire class.
Class Newsletters: This section contains links to class newsletters in print-ready PDF format. The class newsletter editor can choose to display a photo and highlight a feature from each issue.
Message card: An on-line form for classmates to submit information and pictures about themselves or other classmates for their class newsletter.
Mini-Reunions: Classmates can register online for mini-reunions that are organized at the university or any other location. For each mini-reunion, classmates will find the date, location and directions and a list of registered classmates with their email addresses.
Class dues: Classmates can pay class dues on line through PayPal or any other payment service you select. Payments are automatically registered in a class dues database with a transaction history report, enabling the class treasurer to manage class dues payments online.
Alumni fund: Classmates can make donations to your university's alumni fund through links from this page. The status of class giving for the current alumni fund can also be displayed.
Discussion forums: Classmates can initiate discussion forums on specific topics.
Class Officers: Class officers are listed with email contacts.
Photo gallery: Classmates can view photos with captions from reunions, mini-reunions, and any other events. Photos are grouped by event and expand with a click.
University links: Classmates can click to other university-related web sites from this page.
User permissions: The class webmaster can select which class officers shall have access to specific sections of the Class Admin area.
Sections admin: The class webmaster can choose to display or suppress specific sections of the web site, the order that they are displayed, and which sections of the site are to be password-protected.
Counter stat: This section in Class Admin provides a monthly summary of the number of unique users and page views, with detail of page views for each section of the web site.
